染色家・アーティスト。1922年、東京都生まれ。 1942年、東京帝国大学文学部美学・美術史科に入学。1946年、岡山県の大原美術館に勤め、柳宗悦の「民藝」に出会い、芹沢銈介に師事し染色家に。染色のほか、版画、人形、絵本などさまざまな作品を制作・発表。国内の公立美術館の他、フランス国立ギメ東洋美術館でも展覧会を開催。

大島忠智　Tadatomo Oshima
1998年イデー入社。カフェマネージャー、広報担当を経て、2011年よりバイヤーとして国内外で家具や雑貨の買い付けを行う。ウェブマガジン「LIFECYCLING　interview&photo」の企画運営、音楽レーベル「IDÉE Records」を主宰。現在はイデーーのディレクターとして、イデーのブランドディレクションも手がけている。
