太宰治　Osamu Dazai
1909年、青森県北津軽郡金木村生まれ。中学の頃より同人誌に習作を発表。旧制弘前高校から東京帝国大学仏文科へ進学、中退。1933年、太宰治の筆名で「列車」を発表。「二十世紀旗手」「女生徒」「富嶽百景」「お伽草子」「ヴィヨンの妻」「斜陽」ほか代表作多数。1948年、筑摩書房の雑誌「展望」にて「人間失格」連載。同年6月、同作最終回の掲載をみることなく、玉川上水に投身。
